Ashtead Technology Rentals established a new facility in Hertfordshire during May 2004, but such has been the growth in the company’s instrument hire business that new larger premises have become necessary.

The company moved to a new facility in Letchworth on June 27th 2006.

General Manager, James Carlyle reports a tenfold increase in business levels over the last two years. “We have been delighted with the rapid growth of our business and believe that this can be attributed to a number of factors.
Our customers are becoming increasingly aware of the disadvantages in instrument ownership – infrequent use, storage and calibration requirements, depreciation costs, changing technologies etc. At the same time, they can take for granted the fact that we will deliver on time and that the latest technologies will be supplied in superb condition, tested and ready for action.

“Since opening the Industrial Division, we have invested nearly £1.5 million in new instruments, which means that every item is less than two years old. We place great emphasis on the level of support that we are able to offer both before and during the hire period and we have also invested heavily in new staff.
